The precincts of the temple show various expressions depending on the season, such as cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in fall.
There are about 60 cherry trees on the grounds, including someiyoshino, yamazakura, and benishidarezakura.
The best time to view them is usually around mid-April.
It is also the season of beautiful dark green trees.
Be sure to see the lotus flowers that bloom from early July to mid-August.
Maples turning bright red can be admired throughout the temple grounds.
The scenery of “scattered maples” piled up on the heads of 8,000 stone Buddhist stupas on Sai no Kawara is a unique charm of fall.
The beauty of the temple with snow on the ground is exceptional.
However, please note that if it is determined that the footing is slippery or dangerous, the tour may be canceled at short notice.
